Description

The Black kiteshield (g) is a gold-trimmed version of the black kiteshield in RuneScape 3. It looks fancy but works the same as the plain shield. The gold trim is just for style. Players who want a sharper look at low levels often pick this shield.

You need level 25 Defence to equip it. It is a melee shield with 76.2 armour, a 2.5% PvM damage reduction, and no prayer bonus. It is tradeable, noteable, and weighs 5.443 kg. It first came to the game on 5 May 2004.

You cannot make this shield with the Smithing skill, and players cannot add the trim themselves. In the game, it can come from easy clue scrolls in Treasure Trails or from cremating at the Columbarium. It can also be combined with a black full helm (g), black platebody (g), and black platelegs (g) or plateskirt (g) at the Grand Exchange to form a full gold-trimmed set.

The shield can also be disassembled for Invention. It gives 8 materials, such as Cover parts, Base parts, and Deflecting parts, plus rare Strong and Protective components, with 7.5 Disassembly XP.
