Description
Black platelegs (g) are a gold-trimmed version of black platelegs in RuneScape 3. They have the same stats as regular black platelegs, but the gold trim makes them stand out. Players wear them to look good, since the trim is purely cosmetic.
These platelegs are tier 25 tank armour for the legs slot. They need level 25 Defence to equip. They give 83.8 armour, a 375 life points bonus, and small damage reduction of 0.5% against monsters and 1.3125% against other players.
You cannot make this item with the Smithing skill, and no player can add the trim. It comes as a reward from easy clue scrolls in Treasure Trails, or from cremating at the Columbarium. That makes it rarer than plain black platelegs.
The item is free to play, tradeable, and noteable. You can combine it with the Black full helm (g), Black platebody (g), and Black kiteshield (g) at a Grand Exchange clerk to form a Black gold-trimmed armour set (lg). It can also be disassembled as melee armour for parts like plated parts and strong components.
