Description
Black nails are a members-only item in RuneScape 3. They are used in the Construction skill to build many kinds of furniture in a player-owned house. Players can make items like wooden beds, bookcases, chairs, tables, and more with them. They can also be used with a tribal mask and two snakeskins to make broodoo shields at level 35.
Black nails have a use in Fletching too. Hammer them onto flighted ogre arrows to make black brutal arrows. This needs level 38 Fletching and gives 6.5 Fletching experience.
Unlike other nails, black nails cannot be made with the Smithing skill. In the game, they only come from a few places, such as ogre coffins, skeletal hands, zombie hands, zombies in Tarn's Lair, easy clue scrolls, and the In Aid of the Myreque quest. That makes them harder to gather than bronze, iron, or steel nails.
Black nails are tradeable and stackable, and they weigh nothing. They cannot be equipped. Nails can bend while building, and higher level nails bend less often, so black nails waste fewer than lower tiers. They can also be disassembled, most often giving simple parts.
