Description

Snakeskin is a Crafting material in RuneScape 3. It is made by taking a snake hide to a tanner. A regular snake hide costs 15 coins to tan, and a swamp snake hide costs 20 coins. Tanners can be found in Al Kharid, Varrock, Taverley, Canifis, Prifddinas, the Ranging Guild, and the Crafting Guild.

Players use snakeskin to make snakeskin armour, a set of ranged gear. The set includes the bandana, body, vambraces, chaps, and boots. Each piece needs 30 Ranged and 30 Defence to wear. Making the full set takes 46 snakeskins and Crafting level 53.

Snakeskin has other uses too. Two snakeskins can turn a tribal mask into a Broodoo shield. Eight snakeskins go into masterwork elasticated leather, which is needed for masterwork ranged equipment. You only need Crafting level 2 to start working with it.

Snakeskin can also be taken apart for Invention. It gives Simple parts most of the time and Crafted parts the rest of the time. As the examine text says, it is scaly but not slimy.
