The Black platebody (h2) is a body armour piece in RuneScape 3. It is a black platebody with a heraldic design on the front. Players like to wear it to stand out or to show off some wealth, since it cannot be made with the Smithing skill.

This is tier 25 melee tank armour. You need level 25 Defence to wear it. It has the same stats as a regular black platebody, with an armour value of 87.6. It also cuts damage by 0.5% in PvM and 1.5% in PvP. The item weighs 9.979 kg.

In the game, this platebody comes from easy clue scrolls in the Treasure Trails Distraction and Diversion. You can store it in a treasure chest in the costume room of a player-owned house. To store it, you also need the black helm (h2), black shield (h2), and either the black platelegs (h2) or black plateskirt (h2). Together these count as an easy-level set.

The platebody can also be disassembled for Invention. It gives 7.5 XP and 8 materials, and it always yields one Fortunate component.
