Description
The Black shield (h3) is a heraldic version of the black kiteshield in RuneScape 3. It has a special crest design on the front, but it works the same as a normal black kiteshield. It is a purely cosmetic item, so players want it for its look.
The shield needs level 25 Defence to equip. It goes in the shield slot and is a tier 25 melee item. It gives 76.2 armour and 2.5% PvM damage reduction. It weighs 5.443 kg. Heraldic armour cannot be made with the Smithing skill, and players cannot decorate it.
In the game, this shield comes from easy reward caskets in Treasure Trails. Only members can get it that way, but non-members can trade and own it. The item is tradeable, equipable, and noteable.
You can also disassemble the shield for Invention. It gives 7.5 XP and 8 materials, and it always gives 1 Fortunate component. It can also give Cover parts, Base parts, Deflecting parts, Strong components, and Protective components.
Pair it with the black platebody (h3), black platelegs (h3) or plateskirt (h3), and black helm (h3). The full set can be stored in a costume room treasure chest in a player-owned house.
