Description

The Black warlock jar is a members item in RuneScape 3. It holds a black warlock, a butterfly caught with the Hunter skill. Players use this jar to help other players in the game.

The main use of the jar is a Strength boost. Use the jar on another player to raise their Strength level by 20% for a short time. The other player must have Beneficial boosts turned on in their Accept Aid menu for the boost to work. This makes the jar handy for players who want extra Strength for combat.

Players can also pick the release option. This frees the butterfly and leaves an empty butterfly jar that can be used again. Releasing the butterfly has no effect on the player who lets it go.

Catching a black warlock takes level 45 Hunter, a butterfly net or magic butterfly net, and a butterfly jar in the backpack. Each catch gives 54 Hunter experience. The butterflies live in the Feldip Hunter area and on Anachronia. Buying the jar skips the hunting trip and gives players the Strength boost right away.
