Getting this leather the normal way takes work. Players must collect blue dragonhides dropped by blue dragons, then pay a tanner in places like Al Kharid, Varrock, or Taverley to turn each hide into leather. Buying the leather ready to use skips the hunting and the tanning trips.
Blue dragon leather is a free-to-play item. It is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move in bulk. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts and Crafted parts, which is useful for Invention. Stock up to train Crafting fast or to gear up for ranged combat.
