Description
The needle is a small tool in RuneScape 3. Players use it with thread to craft armour from materials like leather and dragonleather. It is a key part of training the Crafting skill.
The needle can be stored on the tool belt, so it does not take up space in your bag. Needles are also stackable, which makes them easy to keep on hand. A dwarven army axe works the same way as a needle if you have one.
A needle is also needed for the quest Recipe for Disaster: Freeing Pirate Pete. In that quest, you must bring one needle and three reels of bronze wire to Nung. The needle on your tool belt does not count for this task, so you need the real item.
In the game, needles can be found by searching haystacks and hay bales, or by digging at the Varrock Dig Site. Finding one in a haystack even unlocks the achievement called Well, Would You Look At That. With a needle ready, you can start crafting leather gear right away and level up your Crafting skill.
