Description
The blue feather is a stackable item in RuneScape 3. It drops from the cerulean twitch, a bird caught with the Hunter skill. Players need level 11 Hunter and at least one bird snare to catch these birds in the Rellekka Hunter area. Each catch gives 5 to 10 blue feathers.
Blue feathers work just like regular white feathers in the Fletching skill. You can use them to make bolts and arrows, though the finished ammo still comes out with white feathers and works the same as normal. Blue feathers can also be used for fly fishing.
Players with level 79 Crafting can add 20 blue feathers to a studded leather coif to make a blue feather headdress. This gives the feathers a fun cosmetic use beyond skilling.
The blue feather is a free-to-play item. It is tradeable, disassemblable, and weighs nothing, so it is easy to carry in bulk. It was added to the game on 21 November 2006. Whether you want feathers for Fletching, fishing, or crafting a headdress, blue feathers are a handy stock to keep on hand.
