Description
The bronze bar is a metal bar in RuneScape 3. It is made with the Smithing skill by smelting one copper ore and one tin ore together. This can be done at a furnace or with the Superheat Item spell. Smelting a bronze bar needs level 1 Smithing and gives 1 Smithing experience.
Bronze bars are the base metal for training Smithing. Take them to an anvil to forge bronze weapons and armour, such as daggers, swords, helmets, and shields. Higher Smithing levels help too. At level 2 and level 5, bars smelt 25% and 50% faster. At level 9, there is a chance to smelt an extra bar without using more ores.
These bars are also needed in quests like Observatory Quest, The Tourist Trap, and Dealing with Scabaras. Players who use Invention can disassemble them for Simple parts or Crafted parts.
The bronze bar is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and store in bulk. Buying bronze bars saves time spent mining copper and tin, so players can get right to training Smithing or finishing quests.
