Description
Tin ore is a basic mining resource in RuneScape 3. It is one of the first ores a player can mine, along with copper ore. Mining tin only needs level 1 Mining, and mining goes faster with higher Mining levels and better pickaxes.
Tin ore is the key to making bronze bars. Combine one tin ore with one copper ore at a furnace to smelt a bronze bar. This only needs level 1 Smithing, so tin is a great pick for new players training their skills.
Tin ore has other uses too. With level 15 Divination, players can transmute 5 tin ore and 2 flickering energy into iron ore. Tin can also be stored in an ore box. A bronze ore box or higher holds 100 tin, and that limit can grow with higher Mining levels and certain achievements.
Tin ore is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and move around. Buying tin ore in bulk saves time spent mining rocks at spots like Burthorpe mine. Stock up on RS3 tin ore and turn it into bronze bars for fast, easy Smithing training.
