Description
Copper ore is a basic mining resource in RuneScape 3. It comes from copper rocks, which need only level 1 Mining. Along with tin ore, it is one of the first ores a new player can gather in the game.
The main use for copper ore is making bronze bars. Smelt one copper ore with one tin ore at a furnace to get a bronze bar. This needs just level 1 Smithing, so it is a key item for training Smithing from the start. Players with level 15 Divination can also transmute copper ore into iron ore using 2 Flickering energy per 5 copper ore.
Copper ore is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and store. Players can also keep it in an ore box. A bronze ore box or higher holds 100 copper, and higher Mining levels and certain achievements raise that cap. The ore can be disassembled for Simple parts as well.
A stock of copper ore saves time at low levels. Instead of mining rock by rock, players can jump right into smelting bronze bars and building early Smithing experience.
