The Bronze hatchet is the weakest hatchet in RuneScape 3. It is a simple tool with two jobs. Players can use it to cut trees and train the Woodcutting skill. It can also be wielded as a Tier 1 melee weapon that uses the Slash style. It has no level requirement, so any player can use it right away. This makes it a great first tool for new accounts.

The Bronze hatchet can be stored in the tool belt, which saves space in the backpack. It is a free-to-play item, so members and free players can both use it. It is tradeable and can be noted.

Players can also make this hatchet with the Smithing skill. It takes one Bronze bar and level 1 Smithing at an anvil, along with a hammer. For Invention training, the hatchet can be disassembled into parts like Head parts, Blade parts, and Connector parts.

Many low level monsters drop this hatchet, such as Goblins, Zombies, Skeletons, and Barbarians. It also spawns in a few spots in the game world, like the chicken farm near the Lumbridge cow field.
