Description

The coconut is a fruit in RuneScape 3 that grows on palm trees. Palm trees can be planted in fruit tree patches and need level 68 Farming to grow. A fully grown tree can hold up to six coconuts at a time, and picking each one gives Farming experience.

Coconuts have many uses. You can break one open to make an opened coconut. Use the opened coconut with a vial to get coconut milk and a coconut shell. Coconut milk is used in high level Herblore. Coconuts can also be turned into fruity mush, variety mush, or supercompost.

Farmers also accept coconuts as payment. If you give a farmer 25 coconuts, they will watch over a planted magic seed. This helps keep your magic tree safe while it grows.

Growing coconuts yourself takes time. Trees only regrow about one coconut per hour, and patches are spread across places like Brimhaven, Catherby, Lletya, the Tree Gnome Stronghold, and the Meilyr clan district in Prifddinas. Some of those spots need quests like Plague's End to reach. Buying coconuts skips the wait and the travel, so you can get right to your Herblore training or magic tree payments.
