Dragon bitter is a members-only ale in RuneScape 3. When you drink a dose, it boosts your Strength skill by 2 plus 1 percent. It also lowers your Attack skill by 2 plus 5 percent. It restores 390 life points as well. Players use it when they want extra Strength for training or combat.
You can brew Dragon bitter with the Cooking skill at level 39, which gives 347 experience. Brewing needs 2 buckets of water, 2 barley malt, 4 Krandorian hops, 1 ale yeast, and 8 beer glasses. One batch makes 8 glasses. You can also buy it at the Dragon Inn in Yanille. Calquat kegs are a smart choice because a keg holds 4 doses in one backpack slot and raises the value of the batch.
The ale gets its name from its hops. Krandorian hops grow on the island of Crandor, home of the famous dragon Elvarg. Dragon bitter is tradeable, noteable, edible, and disassemblable. It weighs 0.55 kg and was added to the game on 23 October 2002. A rare mature version gives a bigger Strength boost and heals 420 life points.
