Description
The RS3 Dust rune is a combination rune that counts as two runes in one. Each dust rune works as one earth rune and one air rune at the same time. Any spell that needs an earth rune, an air rune, or both will use just one dust rune. This saves space in your inventory and cuts down on the runes you need to carry.
Dust runes are stackable, tradeable, and weigh nothing, so they are easy to store and move. They are a members-only item. The most dust runes any spell needs is 30, for the Charge Orb spell series.
Players can also craft dust runes with level 10 Runecrafting. This is done by taking pure essence, earth runes, and an earth talisman to the Air altar, or pure essence, air runes, and an air talisman to the Earth altar. Crafting has a 50% success rate, or 100% with a binding necklace. Buying dust runes skips this work and gives you a ready supply for your spells.
If you cast spells that use air and earth runes in RuneScape 3, dust runes are a smart pick. One rune does the job of two.
