Description

Dwarven stout is an ale in RuneScape 3 that helps with skilling. When you drink it, your Mining and Smithing levels go up by 1 plus 1% of your level. That means a boost of 1 to 2 levels. It also heals 190 life points. The boost lasts up to 60 seconds. As a trade-off, it lowers your Attack, Strength, and Defence by 2 plus 4%, which is 2 to 5 levels.

Players use dwarven stout to enter the Mining Guild while 2 levels short, to smith items above their level, and to meet some quest requirements. It is a simple way to reach a level you do not have yet.

Players can also brew dwarven stout with the Cooking skill. It takes level 19 Cooking, 4 Hammerstone hops, 1 Ale yeast, 2 Buckets of water, 2 Barley malt, and 8 Beer glasses. One brew makes 8 doses.

A stronger version called mature dwarven stout gives a 2 plus 1% boost to Mining and Smithing. It is one of the highest fixed Smithing boosts in the game. Mature dwarven stout is for members only. The name is a joke, since dwarves are often called stout.
