Description

Elder pyre logs are members-only items in RuneScape 3. They are elder logs treated with sacred oil. Players use them as fuel for funeral pyres. You need level 95 Firemaking to light them.

These logs are used in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame, the Legacy of Seergaze quest, and at the Columbarium. They can cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin, Riyl, Asyn, and Fiyr Shades. They also work on Vyre corpses and Tortured souls.

To use them, place the logs and a set of shade remains on a funeral pyre near Mort'ton. Light the pyre to release the shade. Cremating a shade gives 550 Firemaking experience, plus Prayer experience. You also get coins or a shade key. The type of key depends on the remains you burn, not the logs. Higher level shades leave higher level keys.

After finishing the Legacy of Seergaze quest, you can also use these logs to cremate vyre corpses in the Columbarium under the Paterdomus temple.

Elder pyre logs are tradeable and noteable. They can be disassembled for Simple parts or, rarely, Living components. Each log weighs 1.36 kg.
