Description

Elder logs are a high level resource in RuneScape 3. Players get them by chopping elder trees, which need level 90 Woodcutting. These logs are members only and can be traded to other players.

Elder logs are great for training skills. In Firemaking, you can burn them at level 90 for 434.3 experience per log. Adding them to a bonfire gives a 5% boost to your maximum health for 66 minutes. In Fletching, you can cut them into elder shortbows at level 90 or elder shieldbows at level 95. They can also become arrow shafts or elder arrow shafts.

These logs have other uses too. At level 90 Crafting, you can turn one into an Elder birdhouse. At level 97 Invention, they can be used to make enchanted notepaper. You can also disassemble them for parts, most often simple parts, with a small chance of living components.

Buying elder logs saves a lot of time. Elder trees take 5 minutes to cut down and 10 minutes to grow back, so gathering them yourself is slow. With a stack of elder logs ready, you can train Firemaking, Fletching, or Crafting right away.
