Description

Emerald bolts are mithril crossbow bolts tipped with emerald bolt tips. They are tier 50 ammo in RuneScape 3 and need level 50 Ranged to use. They fire in the Bolts style and deal 480 to 720 ability damage.

These bolts are strong picks for free-to-play players. Emerald bolts tie with ruby bolts and rune bolts as the best bolts in free-to-play, and they need the lowest Fletching level of the three to make.

Players with level 27 Magic can enchant emerald bolts with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Emerald) spell. The spell works on 10 bolts at a time and turns them into emerald bolts (e). Enchanted bolts gain Magical Poison. When it triggers, the target is poisoned for 4% weapon damage. Both abilities and auto-attacks can set it off.

Emerald bolts can also be made with the Fletching skill. At level 58 Fletching, players attach emerald bolt tips to mithril bolts. Making 10 bolts gives 55 Fletching experience. Buying the bolts ready to use skips the crafting and lets players load a crossbow and start fighting right away.
