The Empty pot is one of the most common items in RuneScape 3. It is a simple clay pot that holds liquids and powders. Players use it to make many other items, such as a pot of flour, pot of cornflour, pot of quicklime, and pot of vinegar. It can also be paired with a pot lid to make an airtight pot.

Empty pots are easy to get. They can be crafted at a pottery oven from an unfired pot at Crafting level 1, giving 6.3 experience. Free-to-play players can make them. They also spawn in many spots, like the Lumbridge kitchen, the Cooking Guild, and the Blue Moon Inn in Varrock. Most general stores sell them, and the empty pot is even the icon for general stores on the world map.

The item is tradeable and noteable but not stackable. It weighs 0.453 kg and can be disassembled for Simple parts or, rarely, Variable components. It is not a members item or a quest item, so any player can use it. For skilling, cooking, and Invention recipes like calorie bombs, this basic item is handy to keep around.
