Description

Guam tar is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is a thick, foul-smelling, tar-like substance with a green tinge. It has two main uses in the game.

The first use is for the Hunter skill. Players with level 29 Hunter can use Guam tar as bait in net traps to catch swamp lizards. Each catch gives 152 Hunter experience points.

The second use is as ammunition. When a swamp lizard is used as a weapon, it fires Guam tar. As ammo, it is a Tier 30 Ranged class item with 288 ability damage, a max hit of 432, and the Bolts style.

Players can also make Guam tar at level 19 Herblore. Using 15 lumps of swamp tar on a clean guam with a pestle and mortar makes 15 Guam tar and gives 30 Herblore experience. The Telekinetic Grind spell can make it too at level 85 Magic, giving 89 Magic experience and 810 Herblore experience.

Guam tar is tradeable, equipable, and stackable, so it takes up little space. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts or Variable components. It weighs nothing, which makes it easy to carry in bulk.
