Description

The hydrix is a rare gem in RuneScape 3. It is made by cutting an uncut hydrix with a chisel at level 79 Crafting, which gives 197.5 experience. Its main use is making the most powerful jewellery in the game.

With a gold bar and a furnace, a hydrix can become a ring, necklace, bracelet, or amulet. Once enchanted, these become the Ring of Death, Reaper necklace, Deathtouch bracelet, and Amulet of souls. All four give stat bonuses to strength, ranged, magic, necromancy, and prayer. Each one also has a special power. The Ring of Death can bring a player back after death. The Amulet of souls makes Soul Split and Protection prayers stronger.

A hydrix can also be cut into 36 hydrix bolt tips at level 80 Fletching. These tips make Ascendri bolts and hydrix bakriminel bolts. The gem can also be used at an Inventor's workbench to help create an Alchemical hydrix, or paired with Death notes to make a Book of Death.

Any player who wants top-tier combat jewellery in RS3 needs a hydrix. It saves the long grind of earning one through Soul Reaper points.
