The amulet of souls is a powerful neck slot item in RuneScape 3. It is made by enchanting a hydrix amulet with the Lvl-6 Enchant spell. It is a hybrid item, so it works with all combat styles. It has the second highest style bonuses of any amulet and gives a Prayer bonus of 5.
The amulet has two strong passive effects. First, Soul Split has a 50% chance to heal 25 to 50% more, which is about 18.75% more healing on average. Second, it boosts the damage reduction of protection prayers and deflection curses by 10%, raising them to 60% damage reduction.
The amulet degrades after 100,000 hits in combat. A cut onyx recharges it by 50%. It can also be decorated with a soul ornament kit for higher style bonuses. Once worn, it becomes untradeable.
The amulet of souls is a top pick for bossing and long combat trips. The extra Soul Split healing keeps players alive longer, and the stronger prayers cut down incoming damage. It can also be combined with a reaper necklace and an alchemical hydrix to make the Essence of Finality amulet.
