Description
The iron stone spirit is a helpful item for mining in RuneScape 3. It is a small wisp-like creature. When you mine an iron rock, one spirit is used up and you get one extra iron ore on top of your normal ore. The spirit is consumed on its own, so you do not need to do anything special. This makes it a great pick for players who want more iron ore for Smithing or for selling.
Iron stone spirits are stackable and tradeable, so they are easy to store and share. They took the place of iron bar and iron ore drops from monsters. Unlike other stone spirits, this one has the color of iron bars instead of the ore.
In the game, these spirits drop from many monsters, such as greater demons, the giant mole, ice warriors, banshees, and young grotworms. They can also come from pickpocketing, barrels, chests, and iron rocks at a rate of 1 in 10. Players with level 90 Mining can also use them with other stone spirits and a Pickaxe of earth and song to make a Spirit moonstone.
