Description

Karil's crossbow is a two-handed ranged weapon in RuneScape 3. It is part of Karil the Tainted's Barrows set. You need level 70 Ranged to wield it. It is a tier 70 weapon with 1486 accuracy and ability damage of 892.5 to 1008. It has a range of 9 and fires bolt racks, a special ammo used only by Karil's crossbows.

This weapon counts toward the Karil's set bonus called Karil's Taint. When you wear four pieces of the set, your ranged attacks have a chance to lower the target's Magic level. This works in player killing and against regular monsters. You can also combine the crossbow with a corruption sigil to make a tainted repriser.

Like all Barrows gear, the crossbow degrades over 100,000 charges of combat. It does not get weaker as it degrades. Once it is fully broken, you can repair it for 300,000 coins at an NPC, or for as little as 150,000 coins on an armour stand with 99 Smithing. It can only be traded when fully repaired or fully degraded.

Karil's crossbow is a strong pick for players who want solid tier 70 ranged power with a useful set effect.
