Description
Living minerals are a stackable item in RuneScape 3. They come from dead Living Rock Creatures in the Living Rock Caverns, found on the northern side of the Dwarven Mine. When one of these creatures dies, it leaves behind remains that can be mined for the minerals.
The main use for Living minerals is fishing. They work as bait for catching Raw rocktail with a Fishing Rod and level 90 Fishing. Rocktail fishing spots are only found in the Living Rock Caverns, so players who want to fish there need this bait. Rocktail is one of the best food fish in the game, which makes the bait a handy item to have.
Mining the remains yourself requires level 73 Mining. Each pile gives 5 to 24 minerals, with 7 to 15 being the most common amount. The minerals weigh nothing and stack in one inventory slot, so they take up very little space.
Living minerals can also be disassembled for Invention. They give Simple parts most of the time, with a small chance of Variable components. Grab a stack of Living minerals and start catching rocktail in the caverns.
