Description

The lobster is a classic food item in RuneScape 3. Eating a cooked lobster heals 1,200 life points. It is one of the most popular foods for free-to-play players because it is cheap and easy to collect in bulk.

Lobsters are not members-only, and they are tradeable and noteable. They work well as food for training combat, questing, or exploring dangerous areas. A cooked lobster weighs very little, so players can carry a full stack without slowing down.

In the game, players catch raw lobsters with a lobster pot at level 40 Fishing. Cooking them needs level 40 Cooking. A range gives 120 experience per lobster, and a bonfire gives 132. Lobsters can burn until level 74 Cooking, or level 64 with cooking gauntlets. Buying cooked lobsters skips all of that work.

Lobsters also have a fun bit of history. When cooked, the game says "You roast a lobster," making it the only food in the game described as roasted. Raw lobsters can also be fed to a pet kitten or disassembled for Organic parts. It is a simple, useful item that every RuneScape player knows well.
