Description

Manta ray bait is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is used at the Deep Sea Fishing hub. The bait attracts raw manta rays to a magical fishing spot. You need level 81 Fishing to catch them. Each catch gives 200 Fishing experience.

One piece of bait lets you catch up to 50 manta rays. After that, you need another piece to bring the fish back. Extra catches from buffs like the shark outfit do not count against this limit.

Raw manta rays are a strong food source. At level 91 Cooking, you can cook them into manta rays for 216 Cooking experience. They also work as bait in Big Game Hunter to attract bagrada rex on Anachronia.

The bait is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing, so it takes up little space. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts or, rarely, Variable components. Players can make the bait by gutting 300 magnetic minnows, which needs only level 1 Cooking and gives 100 experience.
