Description
The mithril bar is a metal bar in RuneScape 3 made with the Smithing skill. Players smelt one mithril ore and one coal at a furnace, or use the Superheat Item spell. Smelting one bar needs level 30 Smithing and gives 5 Smithing experience. At level 31 the bar smelts 25% faster, and at level 37 it smelts 50% faster. Starting at level 38, there is a chance to smelt an extra bar without using more ores.
Mithril bars are used at an anvil to forge mithril weapons and armour. A mithril bar is also one of the materials needed to make the Blessed flask. The Superheat Item method needs level 43 Magic, gives 53 Magic experience, and uses one Nature rune and four Fire runes.
Mithril is a bluish purple metal that is stronger and lighter than steel. A mithril bar weighs 1.586 kg, which is 0.2 kg less than iron, steel, and rune bars. The bar is tradeable and noteable. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts or Crafted parts. Mithril bars are a solid pick for players training Smithing or making mid-level gear.
