Description

The mud battlestaff is a tier 30 elemental staff in RuneScape 3. It needs level 30 Magic to wield. This staff gives you unlimited water and earth runes, so you never have to buy or carry those runes for your spells.

The free runes work with many useful spells. Standard spells include Bones To Bananas, Bones To Peaches, and Lvl-5 Enchant. Lunar spells include String Jewellery, Stat Restore Pot Share, Boost Potion Share, and Sift Soil.

As a weapon, the staff has 432 ability damage, 454 accuracy, and a range of 8. It is the weaker version of the mystic mud staff. Thormac can upgrade it to a mystic mud staff for 40,000 coins after the Scorpion Catcher quest, or 27,000 coins after the hard Seers' Village achievements. With 85 Crafting, you can attach a shade skull to make a shade battlestaff of mud.

In the game, this staff drops only from Dagannoth Prime, a level 303 boss, at a rare rate of 1 in 128. It came out on 7 November 2005 as the second hybrid elemental staff, after the lava battlestaff and before the steam battlestaff.
