Description
The Necronium bar is a metal bar in RuneScape 3. Smiths make it by smelting one necrite ore and one phasmatite together in a furnace or with the Superheat Item spell. Each bar needs level 70 Smithing and gives 17 Smithing experience.
Necronium bars are used at an anvil to forge necronium weapons, armour, and tools. Forging also needs level 70 Smithing. The bars are a solid way to train the skill and make useful gear at the same time.
Higher levels make the bars even better. At level 74 Smithing, there is a chance to smelt an extra bar without using more ore. At levels 75 and 77, bars smelt 25% and 50% faster.
The bar is a members-only item. It is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and store in bulk. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts or Crafted parts. In game lore, necronium comes from necrite, a metal formed from bone and ancient magic during the God Wars. The finished metal has a dark green sheen covered in skulls and bones.
