Description

The necronium hatchet is a tier 70 tool and weapon in RuneScape 3. It is stronger than the orikalkum hatchet. Most players use it for Woodcutting, but it can also be used as a melee weapon in combat.

You need level 70 Woodcutting to chop trees with it. To wield it as a weapon, you need level 70 Attack. In combat it uses the Slash style, with 428.8 ability damage and 1486 accuracy. Like other hatchets, it fills the main-hand slot and swings every 3 seconds.

This hatchet can be stored on your tool belt. That saves a spot in your inventory while you chop wood, and you can take it out at any time. As a tier 70 hatchet, it also gives a +10% boost to your chance to chop, since that bonus is built into hatchets from orikalkum up to bane.

The necronium hatchet is tradeable and can be noted. It can also be made with the Smithing skill at level 70, using one necronium bar at an anvil for 500 Smithing experience. It weighs 1.36 kg and was released on 9 December 2024.
