Description
The ogre arrow shaft is a members-only Fletching item in RuneScape 3. It is the first part needed to make ogre arrows and brutal arrows. Each shaft comes from cutting achey tree logs with a knife. One log gives four shafts.
Making shafts needs level 5 Fletching and part of the Big Chompy Bird Hunting quest. Each shaft gives 1.6 Fletching experience. Adding feathers to the shafts makes flighted ogre arrows. Six shafts and six feathers make a set of flighted arrows. Many feather types work, such as regular, stripy, orange, blue, yellow, red, and wimpy.
Finished ogre arrows fire from ogre bows and composite ogre bows. Players use them to hunt big birds like chompy birds and jubblies. The arrows are also needed in Big Chompy Bird Hunting and the Freeing Skrach Uglogwee part of Recipe for Disaster.
Ogre arrow shafts are tradeable and stackable, and they weigh nothing, so they take up little space. They can also be disassembled for Invention, giving mostly simple parts. Buying shafts in bulk saves time on woodcutting and lets players train Fletching or stock up on arrows fast.
