Description
The onion is a simple food and Cooking ingredient in RuneScape 3. Eaten raw, an onion heals up to 200 life points. It weighs 0.15 kg and is tradeable, noteable, and disassemblable.
Onions are used in many recipes. Players need them to make ugthanki kebabs, garden pies, mushroom potatoes, fried onions, and mushroom and onion. In gnome cooking, onions go into vegetable battas, worm holes, and vegetable balls.
Onions have uses outside of Cooking too. Take two onions and 5 coins to Aggie, or two onions and 25 coins to Rana the dyer, to make yellow dye. Onions can also go into a Compost Bin to make compost. Up to ten onions fit in an empty sack, and a sack of onions can pay a gardener to watch growing cabbages or Asgarnian hops.
Players with level 5 Farming can grow onions by planting three onion seeds in an allotment patch. Each harvest gives at least three onions. When disassembled, onions mainly give Organic parts, with smaller chances of Crafted parts, Enhancing components, Healthy components, and Living components. This makes onions handy for Cooking, Farming, and Invention needs.
