The opal machete is a members-only tool in RuneScape 3 that cuts jungle faster than a normal machete. Players use it most in the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame on Karamja. It can also cut the roots of evil trees.

There are no requirements to wield it. Cutting jungle needs some Woodcutting skill. Light jungle needs level 10, medium jungle needs level 20, and dense jungle needs level 35. The machete can be added to the tool belt, so it does not take up inventory space.

The opal machete also works as a melee weapon. It is a tier 10 main hand weapon with the slash style. It has 48 ability damage, 202 accuracy, and the fastest attack speed. It weighs 1.36 kg.

In game, this item can come from Gabooty's store for 500 trading sticks or from looting a ninja impling. Safta Doc in Tai Bwo Wannai village can also make one from 300 trading sticks, 3 opals, and 1 gout tuber. Having Safta Doc make one counts toward the That's Not a Knife task in the medium Karamja achievements.
