Description

Powder of penance is a prayer powder in RuneScape 3 that helps you keep your prayer points up during long fights. When you scatter it, the powder is used up and gives you a 30 minute effect. During that time, you restore prayer points equal to 2.5% of any damage you take. It does not work in player killing.

The most prayer you can get back from a single hit is 100 points. Over a full 30 minutes of heavy combat, the powder can restore a huge amount of prayer. At 99 Prayer, that can equal about 229 doses of super restore. This makes it a strong pick for bossing and tough PvM fights.

You can stack the effect up to one hour by scattering more than one powder. The timer is not cleared when you die. Scattering the powder also gives 0.5 Prayer experience.

The powder is made by grinding one dazzling whirligig shell with a pestle and mortar at Herblore level 1. It works the same way as the Penance aspect, but restores half the percentage. It also counts toward the Overpowdered achievement, which needs all six prayer powders active at once.
