Description
The rabbit snare is an item for the Hunter skill in RuneScape 3. It is used for a technique called rabbit snaring. Players set the snare on a path between rabbit burrows. Then they flush the rabbit out with a teasing stick or a ferret. Ferrets can be caught after the Eagles' Peak quest and can flush many burrows at once.
With this snare, players can catch white rabbits at Hunter level 27 in the Piscatoris Hunter area. Each catch gives 144 experience and a rabbit foot. At level 32, players can catch jackalopes in Havenhythe for 202 experience and jackalope antlers. Catches also give bones and raw rabbit.
Players can set more snares as their Hunter level goes up. Level 1 allows 2 traps, level 30 allows 3, level 60 allows 4, and level 80 allows 5. The Volcanic trapper outfit allows 6. Smoking the snare with a lit torch or scentless potion improves catch chances.
The rabbit snare is stackable, tradeable, and noteable. It weighs 0.02 kg and can be disassembled. Snares disappear fast, so it helps to bring plenty.
