You can cook this raw soup on a range or a fire, though it may burn. Cooking it turns it into fungal algae soup and gives 200 Cooking experience. Cooking also needs level 80 Cooking.
The cooked soup is a strong tool for the Croesus fight. Eating it grants the Fishing Attuned status. This boosts your Fishing efficiency and lowers your Woodcutting efficiency during the fight. It also raises your damage to the mutated fungal algae skilling node core by 50%. That damage buff stacks with fishing and super fishing potion boosts. One soup lasts for one encounter, until Croesus is killed.
Raw fungal algae soup is tradeable and noteable. It weighs almost nothing at 0.001 kg. It cannot be alchemised or disassembled, and it is always kept outside a dangerous area on death. It is a smart pickup for Croesus fishers.
