Description

The raw rainbow fish is a members-only fish in RuneScape 3. Players catch it at level 38 Fishing using a fly fishing rod and stripy feathers. It gives 80 Fishing experience per catch. Any fly fishing spot works, and good spots include Barbarian Village, Lumbridge, Shilo Village, and the area north of Seers' Village.

This fish has many uses. Cooking it on a range or a fire at level 35 Cooking turns it into a rainbow fish, a food that heals 875 life points in one bite. It also works as bait for barb-tailed kebbits in the Feldip Hunter area, which needs level 33 Hunter. Players can even use it to feed animals at the player-owned farm.

Players with the featherless fly fishing perk from the Prawnbroker do not need stripy feathers. That perk also lets them pick which fish they catch at fly fishing spots. While fishing, players may find golden rainbow fish eggs for the Aquarium.

The raw rainbow fish is tradeable and noteable, and it can be disassembled. It weighs 0.45 kg. Despite its name, the raw fish shows only one rainbow colour, cyan.
