Description
The fly fishing rod is a fishing tool in RuneScape 3. It lets players catch fish at fly fishing spots found around the game world. You can store it on your tool belt, so it does not take up space in your bag.
This rod uses feathers as bait. You can get feathers by killing birds like chickens, or by buying them from other players or from stores. Feather shops are found in Port Sarim, Shilo Village, Shantay Pass, south-eastern Varrock, Witchaven, and Lumbridge.
With this rod you can catch raw trout at Fishing level 20 for 50 experience each. At level 30 you can catch raw salmon for 70 experience each. Members can also use stripy feathers to catch raw rainbow fish at level 38 for 80 experience each.
Free players can fly fish near Barbarian Village and in Lumbridge by the River Lum. Members have many more spots, such as Seers' Village, Entrana, Shilo Village, the Tree Gnome Stronghold, and near the Fishing Guild. The rod weighs 1.36 kg and can be disassembled for Simple parts or, rarely, Variable components.
