Description

The stripy feather is a members only item in RuneScape 3. It drops from the tropical wagtail, a bird caught with the Hunter skill. Catching one takes level 19 Hunter and at least one bird snare in the Feldip Hunter area. Each tropical wagtail always drops 5 to 10 stripy feathers. The item is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing.

Stripy feathers have many uses. Put one on a fly fishing rod to catch raw rainbow fish. Each catch gives 80 Fishing experience, and cooking the fish gives 110 Cooking experience. Raw rainbow fish also work as bait for deadfall trapping barb-tailed kebbits in the Feldip Hunter area.

These feathers work just like normal feathers in the Fletching skill. In Crafting, they are used to make teal coloured feather headdresses. Eight stripy feathers are needed for the As a First Resort quest. They can also be sold at the Fancy Dress Shop for 8 coins each.
