Description
Royal dragonhide is a scaly, rough hide from RuneScape 3. It drops from Grotworms, Mature grotworms, the Queen Black Dragon, Verak Lith, and Kerapac, the bound. The Queen Black Dragon always drops 5 to 7 hides, and Verak Lith always drops 10 to 15 noted hides.
A tanner can turn each hide into royal dragon leather for 20 coins. Tanners are found in Al Kharid, the Ranging Guild, Varrock, Taverley, Canifis, Prifddinas, and the Crafting Guild. Players with level 83 Magic can also use the Make Leather spell. It takes 2 Astral runes, 2 Body runes, and 2 Fire runes to tan 28 hides at once.
With level 65 Crafting, the leather can be made into royal dragonhide armour. The set has a coif, body, chaps, boots, and vambraces. It takes nine hides to make the full set. The armour needs level 65 Defence to wear and works with Ava's alerter, accumulator, and attractor.
Royal dragonhide is great for training Crafting or making cheap ranged armour. The armour's low price and decent stats make it popular for high-risk fights, like Wilderness Warbands.
