This weapon is a tier 50 Ranged item with 480 ability damage and 850 accuracy. It is a one-handed weapon, so you can hold a shield in your other hand. This is great when fighting dragons, since you can keep an anti-dragon or dragonfire shield ready. You can also pair it with an off-hand rune crossbow to boost your attack power.

In Classic Mode, the rune crossbow attacks faster than the rune 2h crossbow. That means enchanted bolts trigger more often, though each shot does less damage on average and uses more ammo.

Players with Fletching level 69 can make one by adding a crossbow string to an unstrung rune crossbow, which gives 50 Fletching experience. The item weighs 2 kg and can be disassembled for parts like Connector parts, Tensile parts, and Dextrous components.
