Description
The Rune med helm + 3 is a melee head armour piece in RuneScape 3. It is the fully upgraded version of the rune med helm, raised from tier 50 to tier 53. You need level 50 Defence to wear it.
This helm is tank armour for the head slot. At + 3, it gives 185.6 armour, up from 170 on the base version. It also adds a 500 life points bonus, 1% damage reduction against monsters, and 1.875% damage reduction against other players. Like other melee gear, it lowers your accuracy with Ranged, Magic, and Necromancy, so it works best for melee combat.
Making this helm yourself takes work. The base helm needs 2 rune bars at a forge and anvil, and reaching + 3 takes 16 bars in total. Buying it ready made skips all that smithing.
The Rune med helm + 3 is a free-to-play item, so members and non-members can use it. It is tradeable, lendable, and noteable, and it weighs almost nothing at 0.01 kg. It matches the rune full helm in stats and differs only in looks.
