Description

Salmon is a food item in RuneScape 3 that both free players and members can use. Eating a cooked salmon heals 625 life points. It is a simple, low cost way to keep your health up while training skills or fighting monsters.

In the game, players need level 30 Fishing to catch raw salmon with a fly fishing rod and feathers. Cooking it takes level 25 Cooking. Players can burn salmon until level 58, or level 55 on the Lumbridge Castle range. Buying salmon lets you skip all of that work and get straight to using the food.

Salmon is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and store. Each fish weighs 0.5 kg. Members can also use salmon as an ingredient in an admiral pie, which needs level 70 Cooking. The fish can be disassembled too, giving materials like Organic parts and Crafted parts for Invention.

Salmon is a smart pick for players who want cheap healing food for low and mid level combat. It also counts toward the Fishy Dishes achievement, which asks players to sample a list of fish dishes.
