The sharp shell shard is a stackable arrow tip in RuneScape 3. Players use it in Fletching to make dinarrows. With level 95 Fletching, 15 sharp shell shards attach to 15 headless dinarrows to make a batch of dinarrows and give 300 experience. They can also be combined with tempered fungal shafts and dinosaur propellant for 315 experience.
Sharp shell shards are also a strong Firemaking training item. With at least level 87 Firemaking, up to 60 shards can be ignited in a row. Each shard gives 341.9 experience and takes three seconds to burn. Igniting shards does not require the Extinction quest. It also gives a chance to receive Bernie, the Firemaking skilling pet. The shards gain bonus experience from a portable fletcher and the tier 3 Ranger's Workroom. With experience boosting items, players can earn over 525,000 Firemaking XP per hour.
The item is tradeable and can be disassembled in the arrows and arrowheads category. It yields stave parts, head parts, crafted parts, and rarely precise components. Sharp shell shards are a good pick for players who want fast Firemaking XP or want to fletch dinarrows for ranged combat.
