Description
The Tempered fungal shaft is a stackable crafting item in RuneScape 3. It is made from Zygomite hair, which is straight and thin when cut and dried. Players get these shafts from Zygomite Carestyling. This needs level 82 Firemaking or Fletching and the Extinction quest. Scruffy zygomites also drop them in batches of 12 to 15.
These shafts are key parts for high level ammo. With 15 shafts and 15 Dinosaur propellant, players can make 15 headless dinarrows at level 95 Fletching. Adding Sharp shell shards turns them into full dinarrows. Five shafts and a spinning wheel make one fungal bowstring at level 82. Players can also mix 200 shafts with 20 Onyx dust to make 20 softened fungal shafts.
The shafts can be disassembled too. They give simple parts most of the time, with a small chance of living components or fungal components.
Tempered fungal shafts are tradeable, weigh nothing, and need a Members account. Buying them in bulk saves time for players who want to skip the grind and get straight to making dinarrows and bowstrings.
