Description

The Spirit Cockatrice scroll (Petrifying Gaze) is a Summoning scroll in RuneScape 3. It lets a spirit cockatrice familiar use its special move, Petrifying Gaze. You need level 43 Summoning to use it. Each cast uses one scroll and 3 special move points, or 2 points with a spirit cape. Each cast also gives 0.9 Summoning experience.

The special move hits an enemy for up to 100 life points and drains one of their stats. The stat depends on the breed of cockatrice. It can lower Defence, Attack, Magic, Ranged, or Strength by 3. Some breeds drain prayer points or Summoning points by 30 instead.

Players make these scrolls by turning a spirit cockatrice pouch into 10 scrolls at a Summoning obelisk. A familiar can store up to 500 scrolls and fire the special move on its own. You can also trade scrolls to Bogrog or Lord Amlodd for 4 spirit shards each at level 50 Summoning.

This scroll is a members item. It is tradeable and weighs nothing, so it is easy to keep on hand for training or combat.
